I don't know why I have such a hard time visualizing and accepting God as my Father. Dad was a good example to me of a father and I have the highest respect for him in that role. Often, God feels far away and unreachable and nothing like a father. I understand that is because of my own perspective and I have to get into His Word, read it, accept it and then simply choose to trust Him as my Heavenly Father. I know He cares for me and wants to be there for me all thru my life. I want Him there, too. As the devo states, I have to spend time with Him, listen to Him, read His Word, and then choose to trust that He is the perfect Father and will never leave me nor forsake me. Thank you Father for your love and patience with me. I know you are there and always will be.
