My work is important to God. I struggle with the concept that I can do anything that is important to God. The idea that Christian service requires me to go to the far corners of the world is still a big part of my mental concept. However, my vocation is an avenue for Him to reach the lost around me. My church is an avenue for me to serve Him by being involved in the ministry there. Singing in the choir, helping setup for 1020, directing traffic and helping people find a parking place for special events. All are part of what He wants me to do well. Satan tries to defeat me by telling me that I and what I do are totally insignificant to the plan of God. What a lie. Father help me to daily spend time in your word and in quiet time with you so that I am tuned into you for the day. Help me work in such a way that others see You and not me.
