Sept 25, Day 3

Left Ft Collins and drove through Estes Park out to the Rocky Mountain National Park, up the old Fall River Road, down the other side of the divide to Grand Lake village, to Granby and up to Walden. We have now driven 900 miles. The drive up Thompson River Canyon was beautiful as always. Saw a few elk as we went by the Estes Park golf course. Nothing in sheep basin as we headed to the old road. Old Fall River road was very beautiful. What can one say if you haven’t been there. Herd of Elk in the basin below the summit. Saw Marmots, ground squirrels, lots of chipmunks, a coyote, some mule deer, and yes we saw MOOSE. Three of them. One large cow or might have been an anterless bull but don’t recall their status this time of year but I think the bulls are in full antler now. That was in the Arapaho Wildlife Refuge. On the way back to Walden, we decided to go east of town a ways as there are some willows and streams out there. Luckily spotted a cow and her calf back in the willows. Don’t know if we got photos of them or not. The other one down south came out of the willows on the run and there was no time to get a photo. We are tired but having a great time.

It is sad to see so many dead pine trees everywhere. However, the aspens are absolutely gorgeous. From green to yellow to gold to red, sometimes all on one tree. Fabulous.

Sept 22, 2011

Good morning. I weighed in yesterday morning at 237lbs and this morning at 237.8lbs so I am hitting my 18 lbs loss this week. That will leave me 33 days to lose a solid 7 lbs and reach my e84 challenge of 10% or 25lbs off. I am feeling pretty good and am down from size 44 pants to size 40. I have to cinch them up pretty good but am not quite into size 38 comfortably. We use the Evolv shakes, thin and I drink the energy. Works well. The water is great and we are taking a case of it to Colorado with us to help with the thin oxygen content of the high mountain air. Will report back how it does.

Well, had the biopsy of my right lung which seems to have a tumor which they call a nodule. It is in the back lower right side. They went in through my back between a couple of ribs, (as opposed to going thru a rib?) LOL, and the procedure went well. I didn't feel anything and since I was on my stomach didn't see anything. They observed me for an hour and Terri took me home. We grabbed some lunch at Sonic and went home where I promptly took a good nap of about 4 hours she tells me. Good rest. She fixed chicken enchilada's and they were absolutely wonderful. Oh and I was down 18lbs yesterday morning and a little up from that this morning. The evovhealth products are working. Had a great visit with our son in Canada yesterday evening. it was so good to talk to him. Sure miss him. Haven't visited with Ron lately either. He works way too much. Talk to Meg and Allyson and Nathan quite a bit. Brad once in a while when he isn't on a train somewhere. All are doing well as can be. Proud of all our kids. It is kind of a shock to be going along with minimal health issues and then all of a sudden get hit with the possibility of cancer. It is an interesting feeling. I am at peace with it. I have talked to God about it and He knows what I/we want, but He also knows that I know He is in charge and that I want His will over mine. I worry about Terri though. She is doing better than she was a week ago. She cried a lot, but is hanging in there.

Wednesday, August 24

Last Saturday evening we had a delightful time with my parents. We celebrated Dad's 82nd birthday and their 62nd anniversary. My sister and her husband came down from Wichita and our son and his family came in also. What a good time we had.

Sunday, new service at 1130am. We attended the 9am service and afterward, I worked in the parking lot in case visitors needed information on service times and locations. Was hot but enjoyable waving at many people I knew and don't see very often. Met mom and dad, my sister and brother-in-law at OWU for lunch in the cafeteria. Good food and yes, I ate in moderation.

Monday the 22nd, back to work. Did some Volunteer Community Service work in the Dewey Cemetery before it got warm. Good day and much cooler. Quiet evening at home.

Tuesday, the 23rd, another day at work. Quiet and did some more Volunteer Community Service work in the Dewey Cemetery again, then visited the Caney and Dewey branches. Another good day and was much cooler. Went to a meeting about our Evolv products and signed up another person.

Wednesday, the 24th, I am down 11 lbs at 243.8 in 23 days and Terri is down 5 lbs in 10 days. We use the Evolv shakes and Thin products. A shake for breakfast and lunch and a reasonable meal in the evenings. Products work. We both feel much better already. Less bloated feeling and just feel better all around. If we get hungry between meals and before bedtime, we drink the Thin product and it curbs our appetite.

Going to be another record high today. Supposed to hit 106 or so. Will probably not go to the cemetery today. I have two more plots to walk for the City to help verify their records.

Happy 62nd anniversary to my parents, Marvin and Grace Moberly.

It is finally Friday. Hope you all have a great weekend. I came down with an allergy attack last weekend and ended up at the Dr office, shot and meds, home from work one day and getting better every day. Sure hits hard and fast.

I have lost 9 lbs since Aug 1. 65 days left in my challenge to lose 25 lbs in 84 days. If I can keep on the plan, I should be successful. Ask me how I am accomplishing this.

Great message this morning. If you would like to hear it, go to the First Wesleyan Church web page

http://www.fwcbartlesville.org/#/first-wesleyan

and click on the link to media and then select listen.

It was straight to the point and touched me in many ways. I pray the Holy Spirit will fill me today that I might show others the way to Him by the way I live moment by moment.

August 4, 2011

Good Morning. Another hot day yesterday. Unofficial temp was 116 again. Looks to be another hot one today. Thunderstorm last night but just a few rain drops at our house. Looking better this week for more possible storms. Will just keep praying for rain and cooler temperatures. Looking at some products to help our health and weight loss programs. Might be a good business, too, but will look at it hard before committing. Expensive but will off set enough meals through out the month to balance out. People I know personally have had great success with health issues using this product. It is not a cure all but helps you balance out your body. It is not an instant thing, but we are seeing results pretty quickly. Will see how it goes and I will report in this blog. Yesterday morning I weighed 253, so am down 2 lbs from Monday.

August 3

Going to be the hottest day on record according to predictions. Nothing like eternity without God. Think I will keep on keeping on for Him. Chiggers are getting better. Not itching as bad. That is good. Not much going on as it is so hot. Work is good. Looking forward to a good day with God and the family.

July 29 and 30

Can't say anything but hot. 109 Friday and 110 Saturday. Stayed pretty close to the office on Friday. Saturday morning got up and went with brother-in-law to help work his new retriever, Splash. She loves to play and absolutely loves the water. We went out to the farm pond. Cousin used the tractor to scratch the dirt around the edges of the pond, then we planted millet. Ducks and geese should really settle on the pond this fall and winter if the millet grows. Might just go with them this fall. Will have to see. Helped Brother-in-law dump the trash trailer, then home. Took Terri to Monterrey's for lunch. I had grilled chicken with grilled vegetables and charro beans with some fried rice. Ate a few chips with salsa but kept it to a small amount. Drank tea. Worked on slides after taking a good nap. Just too hot to do anything out side from noon on. Terri picked up a Papa John's pizza for supper. Large 1 topping for 4.99. Hard to beat that deal. Ate two pieces and quit. Wanted more, but didn't. Drank tea. For a bedtime snack I ate a cucumber. Was really good. snuck in a bite sized Hersey's Mr Goodbar and two small pieces of Red Twizzlers. Making progress on slides but there are a lot to scan. Off to bed.

July 28

Where is time going so fast. Hard to believe. Another hot day today. Yesterday hit 111 with no relief in sight. However Tropical Storm Don is developing in the Gulf of Mexico and that could send us some relief if it moves in the correct direction. Something to add to the prayer list.

Prayed for Terri's boss and Darren's son this morning. Thanked God for Stephanie's job.

My children and grand children are constantly on my mind and I pray for them whenever they come to mind.

Looking to have a good day today.

Trying a new start

I am going to try and start several things again.
1. Keeping this blog updated
2. Deeper study of the Bible
3. More intense prayer time
4. Control over my eating habits

Just for starters.

Be a spiritual man!

Be a spiritual man!

I have been looking for a good online bible study to help me understand and apply scripture. This seems to be a good one.
